There has been a recent possible breakthrough in stem cell research where U.S . researchers were able to regenerate dead (rat) hearts. This discovery has now opened the possibility that one day we will be able to generate organs for transplants.
When I first saw this on the news last night the first thing that crossed my mind was "Here we go again, playing God." My mind fast-forwarded to 10 years ahead just thinking that one day people will be literally brought back from the dead and that this revelation will be abused and simultaneously be the demise of mankind because the world is going to end..lol. However, after reading this article I'm on the fence. After learning that nearly 50,000 people in the US die each year waiting for a donor heart, this can definitely cut a few corners and make positive strides in that aspect. So if all that you have to do is inject a dead heart and four days later its beating again then, inject away.

It's just crazy to think about the lengths we're willing to go to stay alive...the alternative is promised to be so much better but oh well...
